Australia to sign global tobacco treaty

The Australian federal government has indicated that it intends to become a signatory to the World Health Organisation's Framework convention on Tobacco Control, an agreement by which countries are legally bound to clamp down on smoking, tobacco sponsorship and the tobacco industry.
