Inyathelo: The South African Institute for Advancement is hosting two Advancement Academies in Cape Town in September: the first on 1 and 2 September is for non-profit organisations; and the second, on 2 and 3 September, is aimed at higher education institutions.
The academy provides a focused, consolidated skills development opportunity for anyone involved in fundraising, marketing, donor and project management, community building or the implementation of strategies to secure financial support.
Central to Inyathelo's approach to building organisational Advancement capacity and contributing to the sustainability of civil society is the provision of a wide range of different learning and training opportunities.
This year's programme will be packed with a combination of masterclasses, presentations from international and local experts and one-on-one specialist advice over one and a half days. Content includes how to steward multiple stakeholders; cracking the Code of Governance; practical guides to monitoring and evaluation; designing and managing information management systems; and meeting statutory and donor reporting requirements.
Feedback from past participants includes: "The speakers were fantastic and I learnt a tremendous amount - most of which I will definitely be able to implement in my work"; "It was just wonderful to network and exchange professional knowledge with the other delegates" and "I would recommend the Academy as it always has a wide range of topics on offer".
Join us this year to connect with others in the civil society sector, share knowledge and improve your capacity to advance your organisation and mobilise resources!
