The conference line-up features high-profile international, African and local speakers who will address a multitude of issues pertinent to South African infosec practitioners, from both a strategic and operational perspective.

The line-up of carefully selected subject matter experts includes:

  • Unveiling the intelligence agencies: Bill Binney, former NSA director;
  • Engaging hackers to strengthen operational security: Keren Elazari, cyber security expert and analyst at Gigaom Research;
  • A cyber threat dashboard for the board - communicating a practical security risk view to exco and the board: Steve Jump, head: corporate information security governance, Telkom;
  • Exposing the enemy - organised cyber-crime: Jason Jordaan, founder and principal forensic scientist, DFIRLAB;
  • Securing the Internet of things: Samresh Ramjith, chief solution and marketing officer, Dimension Data Security Solutions MEA; and
  • Everything you know about wireless security is wrong: Dominic White, CTO, Sensepost .

    "The emphasis at this summit is on ensuring you get a comprehensive view of protecting your company while doing business locally, north of our borders or abroad - and the programme this year reflects just that. It is both an essential update on and a look into the future of infosec globally and in SA, as well as an invaluable platform for both strategic and practical advice. Tailored tracks will focus on delivering practical, hands-on advice and solutions relevant to the issues raised in the plenary sessions," said Ranka Jovanovic, Editorial Director of ITWeb. "Actionable insights will be offered by the workshops, and an expo featuring the latest offerings from infosec suppliers will round off the delegate experience."
