SABC's sales and marketing division restructures

Born from a desire to promote the corporate brand integrity of the SABC, the three separate divisions formerly known as Adrenalin, Action Stations and Radio Active now fall under the new umbrella of SABC Airtime Sales which comes into operation in May 2002.

SABC Airtime Sales Finance and Operations, formerly known as Adrenalin, will be managed by Leon Meintjes, the General Manager. SABC Television Airtime Sales (formerly Action Stations), will driven by Clare O'Neil, General Manager, and SABC Radio Airtime Sales (formerly Radio Active) will continue to be managed by Gab Mampone, General Manager.

SABC Radio Airtime Sales will also include the following:

* The introduction of a Key Account Team to properly service the advertising industry;
* The introduction of National Portfolio Sales teams with full accountability for SABC Radio individual brand performance across South Africa - these teams will work very closely with the Key Account Executives on your business to ensure your needs are met, using our media brands to their full extent;
* The provision of a central strategic planning division, complete with a new creative ideas hub which will offer added value services to the advertising industry.

The restructuring of the trade division follows on the recent announcement of SABC's new preferred advertising, public relations and media partners.

SABC Airtime Sales will offer a range of tailor-made solutions across television and radio and will work closely with clients to achieve their goals.

The new SABC Airtime Sales will be able to offer clients 19 radio stations and 3 television channel brands that are proven performers when it comes to reaching dedicated audiences to satisfy all their brand requirements. "Our promise is to provide maximum flexibility, the finest creative solutions, and solid strategic planning and better service levels than ever before," says Mark Jakins, SABC Group Sales and Marketing Director.
