New website for City Sightseeing

City Sightseeing Cape Town, the city's well-known open-top red bus, has launched a new website to enable visitors to choose and plan what they want to discover and experience in the Mother City and surrounding areas.

One of the two City Sightseeing tours, the Red City Tour is the best way to get to Table Mountain and to see and experience the sights, sounds and places that Cape Town has to offer. The new website has been designed to be a one-stop shop that has all of the information anyone could need about Cape Town. Detailed information about all of the 17 stops on the Red City Tour and the 13 stops on the Blue Mini Peninsula Tour is available so that visitors can choose the destinations they would like to visit and plan their itinerary.

Create an itinerary

Having chosen their preferred stops on the bus route, visitors need only to browse the stops and click the add button and the website will create a detailed itinerary for their one-day or two-day option bus trip in and around Cape Town. All of the requisite information about prices, weather, activities, restaurants, opinions and suggestions on destinations, what to do, how long to take and more is readily available.

Strategic approach

The website has been built with a strong strategic approach to deliver on both the business objectives of the company as well as the needs of the end-user, such as a user-friendly navigation system and easy access to relevant information. A customised content management system has been developed keeping in mind the operational structure of the business and the ongoing need for updates to keep the site up to date and fresh.
