Dedicated to bringing consumers closer to their passions while celebrating the spirit of Africa, the popular campaign offers a collection of special discounts and rare experiences, curated just for MasterCard cardholders. Travel, attractions, sports, dining, shopping and entertainment are at the heart of the campaign, and cardholders can take advantage of exclusive deals in Kenya, Nigeria, Zambia, Mauritius, the Seychelles and Tanzania, as well as around South Africa.

Priceless Africa, together with Priceless Arabia, which was launched earlier this year, is one of two multi-country campaigns that celebrate the diversity and rich heritage of an entire region.

They are part of MasterCard's global Priceless Cities programme, which was first launched in July 2011 in New York. Priceless Cities has partnered with top establishments and retailers worldwide in places such as Beijing, Paris, London, New York, Toronto, and Rio de Janeiro.

"The countries selected for inclusion in the Priceless Africa campaign share commonality in their wealth of cultural diversity, natural wonder and historical interest," said Philip Panaino, division president, South Africa of MasterCard. "Whether cardholders are foreign travellers visiting the region for the first time or local residents exploring their cities more than before, the Priceless Africa campaign will make their experiences in South Africa and its neighbours even more memorable."

Available deals

A selection of deals currently available includes additional accommodation, rounds of golf, wine tasting and rafting experiences at various locations in South Africa. In neighbouring Namibia, World and Platinum MasterCard cardholders can enjoy discounts on Skeleton Coast safaris, in addition to complimentary balloon safaris.

Further afield, MasterCard cardholders can take advantage of discounts on adventures in Kenya with Ultimate Kenya Safari, or Tanzania through Classical Safari Wonders.

"MasterCard is working closely with local destinations and retailers to promote the region as a sought-after shopping and travel destination," said Nadine Mouton, vice-president: marketing, South Africa of MasterCard. "The roll-out of Priceless Africa demonstrates our continuous efforts to align ourselves with both local consumers and inbound visitors, and showcases our strong support of one of the world's most iconic regions."

To view current offers in participating countries and international destinations, and to keep informed as new offers are added, cardholders need to register on the Priceless Africa site. The site is updated with new offers monthly, giving cardholders an ever-growing array of experiences to choose from. All experiences offered through this programme are redeemable to both local and international MasterCard cardholders.
