Steps to deal with exam stress
Under normal circumstances, the examination season can be a harrowing one for parents, pupils and university students. Add to this mix the interruptions of the World Cup and the teachers' strike and we have the ingredients for even higher levels of stress and anxiety. This is not good, since research shows that too much stress can be paralysing and often leads to poorer exam performances.
Writing an exam is not something that many people relish. Unfortunately, we all have to go through it to climb up the educational and vocational ladder. The good news, however, is that we can take some steps to alleviate at least a part of the discomfort.
