Bob Martin, a household name in the pet healthcare market since 1892, has introduced a new category of nutritional supplements for pets in distinctive silver packaging.

The Vetcare nutritional supplement range will include four nutritional powders and a health biscuit range for dogs as well as one for cats. The biscuit range helps protect pets' teeth by combating tartar build-up and comes in three variants; Digestive Health, which promotes the healthy functioning of the intestinal tract, Omega 3 Health with the benefits of added salmon oil to enhance the immune system and Optimal Health containing added vitamin and minerals.

The powders supplement range includes Derma Health Protector Powder for dogs and cats with amino acids to promote general health and aid the digestive, respiratory and genital tracts; Calming Powder to assist dogs or cats with a nervous disposition; Digestive Powder (for dogs) with added enzymes and Flatulence Powder (for dogs) to neutralise odours and reduce flatulence.

“Pet owners are becoming more aware of the benefits of providing quality premium products for their pets and demand effective, vitamin enriched products to supplement their pets' diet in order to keep them vital, healthy and happy,” says Justine Gatter, the company's Marketing Manager.

The remainder of the range includes the company's original and well-known condition tablets, Arthripet Tablets to relieve stiff joints and bones in older cats and dogs, Lustrecote, a natural food oil supplement to maintain a glossy coat and relieve dry itchy skin in dogs and cats and Feather Oil for caged birds.

Moving away from their original yellow and red to a more modern silver, the new range sports a revitalised look while still maintaining elements of the original design to allow customers to identify their favourite pet healthcare product.

“We have been a recognised brand in the pet care market for over 116 years. While the new design reflects elements of our heritage, the move to a more distinctive silver design maintains the feel of our original range and reflects the premium quality of the brand, “adds Gatter.

The launch of the new range is being supported by a print campaign, in-store brand ambassadors and innovative POS displays.

The full nutritional supplementary range is designed to provide pet owners with the convenience of buying their pet supplements at a retail store.
