Kim Kardashian launches Cheeky Cranberry Brutal Fruit

In a three-day visit late last week, sponsored by SAB, Kim Kardashian launched the new flavour Brutal Fruit Cheeky Cranberry at events in Johannesburg and Cape Town. As the international brand ambassador, she launched the brand at the Rand Club in Johannesburg and The Fugard nightclub in Cape Town with Bonang Matheba, who has been chosen as South African ambassador and party hostess.

She was joined by her sister Khloe and, as part of the launch, gave away two more Audi A3 cabriolets, one in Johannesburg and the other one in Cape Town, following the earlier competition which saw two fans win A3s.

On 14 October 2010, Kim announced that she would be coming to South Africa during the official Cheeky Cranberry media launch event at ZAR Bar in Sandton via Skype and ever since then, the social media websites and pages have been buzzing as thousands of fans and consumers entered various competitions on Facebook and Twitter, to stand a chance of winning tickets to the exclusive parties.

The sisters were welcomed to South Africa by 20 local and likeminded female celebrities and media, who shared a private dinner with the star at a restaurant in Melrose Arch. Some of the guests who attended were Bonang Matheba, Bridget Masinga, Melanie Ramjee, and Lelo Boyana. Four winners of the online competition also got to spend the evening with her.

Genevieve Melville, Brutal Fruit marketing manager, said, "The public response has been incredible - we knew Kim was popular with consumers but the excitement has been overwhelming."
