Nola, a division of Foodcorp, has re-launched its leading pet food brand Bobtail with a new look and an extended product line to further entrench their position in the market.

Rich in animal-based protein and enhanced with vitamins to build a strong immune system, omega 3 and 6 oils for a glossy coat, and calcium and phosphorous for healthy teeth and bones, Bobtail Nature's best is said to contain the correct combination of fibre and cereals for a healthy digestive system. The new heart-shaped kibbles contain no artificial colourants or flavourants.

The new packaging clearly reflects the life stage/ breed of the dog from puppy to small/medium adults, medium/large adults and the recently introduced senior variant in popular flavours including chicken, steak and BBQ grill, with all the goodness of vegetables and rice.

Bobtail has built on its position as a volume leader in the dry pet food segment with a 24% share of the market, and extended into wet food, meal enhancers and treats with this new range.

Bobtail Taste Maker is a meal enhancer combining delicious vitamin enriched gravy with meaty chunks in four flavours: steak, lamb, chicken and liver. Bobtail Mini Meal is a complete wet meal for small dogs and puppies, which come in two flavours and contain natural fibres to aid digestion and natural oils. Bobtail will soon be re-introducing its Instant Gravy, with conditioning benefits in a new foil fresh pouch.

As a special treat, Bobtail has also launched a handmade biscuit range in peanut butter or beef gravy flavours.

Updated packaging

The updated packaging design retains the key essentials of the brand while building on the emotive element associated with pets. Additionally the 1.75kg bag has moved to a gusseted foil format, while the 8kg bag moves to a block bottom format to enhance the stability of the bag for easier storage.

Dogmor, Nola's affordable quality brand has also had a packaging revamp in order to highlight the gravy proposition of the brand and to re-establish the brand as a key player in this segment.

The launch will be supported by a new television commercial, print advertising and sampling, as well as in-store elements.

The new Bobtail and Dogmor range is available from all major retailers.
