The E-mail Corporation becomes Striata

The E-mail Corporation has unveiled a change in business strategy, bolstered by a new brand identity. This milestone marks the progression of a small South African business specialising in email applications, into a medium-sized organisation focused on multi-channel messaging in the global marketplace.

Says CEO Michael Wright; "Our business focus has grown phenomenally over the past years to include a product offering broader than email. The added value of our expanded product set provides functionality for messaging across email, SMS, fax, web and other channels."

The new market positioning and brand identity of Striata will be rolled out over the next few weeks.

The company's repositioning includes a consolidated product set consisting of three primary focus areas: Striata eBilling, Striata eMarketing and Striata eContact. The Striata suite of applications has been developed to facilitate electronic customer communication and interaction through multiple channels.

Says Wright, "Our spearhead product, Striata eBilling, will continue to lead our product development strategy, with the additional value of two-way messaging across all electronic media."

According to Wright, key objectives for the company during the next 12 months include marketing the application suite initially into Europe and then into the US and Australia.

"As an initial exposure to Europe, Striata is exhibiting at CeBit in Hannover in March," says Wright. "This is a key event in our marketing calendar, as it effectively launches Striata into the European markets."

Striata's business development strategy will see an increase in focus on its Value Adding Partner program. Target partners include integrators, software and hardware vendors as well as accounting software developers.

Says Wright: "We are very excited about our new image and are looking forward to many more years of success and growth under our new name."
