ACA members enjoy discounted ticket prices for both events.

Tickets for both events – the morning master class and evening awards ceremony can be booked online via www.acasa.co.za/apex.aspx.

The prestigious and hugely popular annual Awards Ceremony attracts more than 400 captains of industry from the advertising and communications sector, commercial business, industry stakeholders, key stakeholders from Government and members of the media. This year, the inclusion of a Master Class provides added value in terms of highlighting the importance of delivering effective communications campaigns.

The Awards Ceremony will be a glamorous formal black-tie event that is hosted by the ACA in partnership with the SABC and sponsors Alexander Forbes, Millward Brown and Unilever. The annual Apex Awards is more than just an awards ceremony, networking event or opportunity to glean valuable insights from the best brains in the business. Proceeds raised from the awards program and events funds much-needed bursaries for deserving and talented students from the AAA School of Advertising. Since 2010 when the Apex bursary programme was launched, 51 students have been provided assistance with funding their tertiary education. These bursary recipients are selected against stringent criteria and without the Apex bursaries may not be in a position to pay for and obtain their tertiary qualifications.

“The Apex Awards aims to demonstrate that the purpose of communications campaigns is to contribute to business success, encourage the best practices in creating and placing effective campaigns, promote best practices in integrated marketing communications, ensure the future of the communication and advertising profession by becoming accountable and encourage the production and execution of communications campaigns that add value beyond sales. The introduction of the Master Class will achieve this. Delegates will be exposed to the latest in trends, how to’s and what not to’s,” says Odette van der Haar, ACA CEO.

“This is a significant event for the profession,” concludes Van der Haar, “It’s a celebration and recognition of work that works. Work that delivered a return on investment and/or objectives. Apex furthermore contributes to maintaining the high standards of the profession through the awarding of bursaries to deserving students at the AAA School of Advertising.”

“Winning an Apex places a real seal on client and agency relationships and teamwork because it demonstrates the contribution made by the team through its collaboration and work. Without the collaboration and support received for Apex from our key partner, sponsors and contributing companies, staging the events and providing much-needed bursaries would not be possible. We thank all involved and look forward to a long and mutually beneficial partnership going forward,” adds Odette.

Seats at both events are limited and selling fast. Don’t delay, book now to avoid disappointment. Tickets can be booked online via www.acasa.co.za/apex.aspx.
