Indie cinema house celebrates 1st birthday, awards most-attended film

In celebration of its first birthday, Johannesburg independent cinema house The Bioscope awarded Adi Loveland its own 'Golden Palm' for his film, 'Unhinged: surviving Jo'burg', which was its most-attended film over the year. The cinema also began its Encounters Documentary Film Fest, which runs until 26 June 2011. For movie information, go to www.thebioscope.co.za.
Updated at 15.45pm on 17 June 2011 to remove ambiguity. Bizcommunity.com apologises for any confusion caused: the company referred to here is The Bioscope Independent Cinema, not production house Bioscope Films.
