Strategic Project Management course at UCT
Dennis Comninos and Chris van der Hoven, both authors and international business consultants in the field of strategic project management, will present a Strategic Project Management course from 16-20 April 2012 at the UCT Graduate School of Business.
"The course is not just about project management," says Comninos. "It is about managing your projects more strategically. It does not help to manage a non-strategic project well - that is just a way to lose money more efficiently."
The course focuses on teaching business leaders to choose the right and most appropriate projects, anticipate risks more carefully and ensure that, once the projects are up and running, the process is implemented in a way that will benefit the organisation throughout.
Course outcomes
- understanding of the issues and challenges facing the application of project management in a business environment
- identifying the latest trends in the project/programme management domain
- current thinking of project and programme management practitioners and consultants operating around the world
- gaining exposure to new tools, techniques, and processes linking strategic, business, and project planning
