Touring SA with ComutaNet

During Tourism Month in September, SA Tourism embarked on a marketing campaign to encourage South Africans to tour the country and to raise awareness of Sho't Left Chalenj, a programme on SABC 2 showcasing various tourism destinations in Mzansi.

Through ComutaNet's spectrum of media options, SA Tourism implemented a four-month campaign encompassing 20 branded Special Taxis, Star Radio and Rank TV.

The taxi creative bears the campaign's theme and wording "Catch the Sho't Left Chalenj! Mondays 6pm SABC" as well as SA Tourism's website address encouraging commuters, pedestrians and motorists to log onto the portal for affordable Mzansi holiday packages.

To ensure synergy and maximum exposure, the same message is carried through advertising spots on the audio and visual media Rank TV and Star Radio, a live digital radio station broadcasting to 20 of the largest taxi ranks nationwide.

Kenneth Maomela, ComutaNet's Executive Chairperson, says: "Tourism is a huge part of our heritage and we are thrilled to play a pivotal role in transmitting SA Tourism's message to South African citizens.

"To ensure that the company achieves its objective of creating awareness of affordable holiday packages and the Sho't Left Chalenj programme, combining the various elements of ComutaNet's services was imperative. The three phase advertising campaign ensured that the desired communication was delivered to the right market."
