Cipla and PinkDrive breast health education

Cipla recently invited the PinkDrive to its head office to educate female employees regarding breast-health as part of its corporate-wellness strategy and to enforce the message that early detection saves lives.

In today's fast-paced corporate environment increasing attention is placed on empowering employees with the means and knowledge to invest in their health and future. Investing in organisational health and wellness empowers staff to increase productivity and efficiency, and create the necessary support systems within the work environment.

Cipla, which has had a long-standing affiliation with the PinkDrive, took the opportunity to host them at their premises during their resent tour of Cape Town and facilitate a breast cancer introductory workshop to over 60 female staff members.

Create awareness among staff

"Having such a large number of female employees and our core business focus being health, it was essential that we took steps such as these to educate and create awareness amongst our staff," said Cipla training group head Nazreen Gamieldien.

The PinkDrive Corporate Wellness days facilitate employers with the resources to address risks proactively by developing a health-care and corporate-wellness strategy within the workplace that comprises educational and personalised breast-health screenings.

"We pride ourselves on bringing breast health to SA women in both the private and public sectors and provide sustainable harmonious systems for ongoing health. Our morning at Cipla was testament to our belief that our wellness programme has the potential to identify the prevalence of breast cancer in women within the corporate environment," said Noelene Kotschan CEO of the PinkDrive.
