Just push play...

Threshold Collective - award winning music video producers, and producers of the popular Afrikaans music programmes such as Geraas (now "Pitstop"), have launched a tactical music video division under the brand Just Push Play, to make music video production affordable to more artists.

Just Push Play, is designed to make music video production affordable, transparent and accessible and is aimed at the artist, their promoters and record labels.

"Through simplifying the production process and with the support of Threshold Collective, MCC, Video Lab and the Film Lab, we have created five exciting packages for the production of music videos. Each of the five packages contains all of the basics required for producing and finishing a music video. Just Push Play offers three packages produced on Video and two on Film," explains Erik de Jager, MD of Threshold Collective.

In the past, music video production has been beyond the reach of most artists due to huge production costs. The "complexity" of production requirements has also created confusion and hindered the decision making process. Through "Just Push Play" Threshold aims to simplifying matters and making music video production more accessible.

"All the suppliers participating in this venture have cut their prices right down to make these packages affordable and simple to understand. Our aim was simple, we have demystified music video production," De Jager explains. "If you've got the music - we'll make it television...!"
