Billboard George for Nespresso

The new billboard advertising campaign from Nespresso, featuring George Clooney, debuted in South Africa on 1 November 2009. The campaign, which was shot by renowned celebrity photographer, Sam Jones, along with photographer Michel Dubois for the backgrounds, features photos of Clooney looking stylish in a dark suit as he appears solo first and then with his Nespresso Grand Cru in hand.

Designed to convey the message that the coffee creates extraordinary moments, the taglines under the side-by-side photos read “George” for the solo shot and “Marvellous George” for the photo of Clooney with the coffee cup. Another version displays the tagline “Extraordinary Man” for the solo shot of Clooney and “Extraordinary Life” for the photo of Clooney and coffee. A third version shows the photo of George alone and then him with cup in hand subtitled with the tagline “Make the ordinary extraordinary.”
