GeneralThe usual mixed bag, with the goodies that everyone loves few and far between, the more mundane workaday treats a bit more numerous, and the ones absolutely no-one likes making up most of the number.
Magazine I don't think anything in this category felt as if it might go on to cure cancer. The judges were, frankly, lukewarm. The Honda Jazz campaign was engagingly written, though, and the Endangered Wildlife trust "Map" ad made one take a closer look.
NewpaperBMW On Board Internet "Mouse Digital" was a clear winner, and deservedly.
OutdoorThe sumptuous illustration of the Chicken Licken Slyder Burger campaign won everyone over. No dispute over this winner.
ExperientialThe delightful, beautifully considered Clover Cooking Calendar took first place here. It induced in me a completely out-of-character desire to go into the kitchen and mess around with baking powder and stuff. Rock4Aids' bold and confident matchbooks took a well-deserved second place, tie with Owen Kessel's ordinary-guy Monster Masks for Child Abuse education.
RadioNice to see Afrikaans work winning Ad of the Month. And a sparkily-written campaign for Yardley from Bester Burke coming in second.
FilmA beautifully executed film for Tracker took first place. Not perhaps the freshest idea, but a very fresh and engaging execution. And a simple but skillfully scripted campaign for Fox International Channels in third place.
