Marketing & Media South Africa

SA shines at Cannes Lions

Cannes Lions has ended and, yet again, the South African advertising and marketing industries have shown the world we're a force to be reckoned with. Today we bring you SA's latest winning work.

Have you created or updated your MyBiz Profile on Bizcommunity yet? If you haven't, you'd better get a move on - if, that is, you want a chance to win a fabulous GoPro camera and accessories worth over R6000! Entries close 30 June 2013.

Right now Nelson Mandela is in the news for the saddest of sad reasons but, on a brighter note, a poster competition, started with the aim of honouring the great man, has excited international interest.

What's in a name? A great deal, and in this article Naseem Javed takes a look at the issue and concludes that bad names = bad profits.

And what makes a good marketing manager? Daryn Smith has been chatting to marketing managers for some years now, and he reckons he has settled on the eight characteristics he reckons you need to be a good marketing manager. See if you agree with him.

Rod Baker, Content Director (@Bizcommunity, @Biz_Marketing)
