What marketing mix is best for me?
I'm a business owner and have a feeling our marketing can be much more effective if I transfer some of my media spend to something else, but what? The options are overwhelming:
CRM system to log interaction with clients, monthly client email to keep our name top-of-mind, PR, brochures, pamphlets, direct snail mail to clients or prospects, direct email, redo website (we currently have a one pager with contact details), research (interviewing existing clients to improve product or find new products), is radio an option, community newspapers instead of regional (Cape Times). Other options?
Basically, as a small business owner with a turnover of R300K per month, what % should I ideally spend on Marketing per month and what % mix should be allocated to the different options? Out of interest, how does this change when my business expands?
