New Opel Campaign
I saw the new Opel Corsa (Classic i think) Tv ad last night and heard some radio ads this morning. It's all comparative ads against the Polo and uses the line "better than Polo" if i remember correctly.
Now, i distinctly remember an ad of some car driving on a golf course with the tag line at the end "Better than Golf" a while back. Can't remember what it was for? But apart from this slightly embarrassing scenario, my question really is this: Why should i believe this? Because they say so? The ads don't tell you anything about the new Corsa? It's like saying blue is better than red. And by positioning a whole campaign against the Polo, it instantly creates an image in my head of a brief coming in saying: "ok, the new Polo is selling much better than the Corsa...we need to do something about this".
