Radmark to publish guide to radio advertising

RadMark is launching a new quarterly pocket-size Radio Guide for advertisers and media planners, filled with bite-sized information about the medium. "Whether you are a junior media planner or a senior executive, it's important to get back to the basics and constantly be reminded of the latest innovative radio media solutions," states RadMark marketing manager, Norman Gibson.

"The guide is in response to a need expressed by key industry decision makers for such a tool," continues Gibson. "We at RadMark believe it will prove to be invaluable as it provides an easy-to-access snapshot of pertinent, practical information."

RadMark represents a portfolio of five regional radio stations: Jacaranda 94.2FM, East Coast Radio, Kaya FM 95.9, Heart 104.9 and iGagasi 99.5fm. It parts ways with Classic FM 102.7 from October 2006.

Each issue will include a list of explanations for commonly used, yet often misunderstood, radio terms, such as reach, frequency, gross rating points and the like.

In response to the frequently asked question "What role/s does radio play in mixed media campaigns?", the first booklet will focus on 'Using Radio With Other Media'. It will expand on radio's effectiveness as a solus medium and explain how radio can add value when used in conjunction with other media.
