“By capitalising on the strong relationships that kalahari.net already has with global book suppliers, we were able to launch eBooks with a substantial range and will continue to add to it, offering our customers as wide a range as possible. We are fully aware of the fact that our customers want to be able to choose how they interact with books - be it in digital or printed format - and our eBook offering was a natural evolution from our printed offering,” said Hadfield.
The eBooks are available in either PDF or ePUB format and can be downloaded using Adobe Digital Editions. Titles purchased by a customer are then displayed in a feature called LibraryBox from where the eBooks can be downloaded. They may be transferred to another computer provided that customers authorize each one with Adobe Digital Editions prior to transferring eBooks between them.
Hadfield concluded that launch offer prices on eBooks will deliver great savings for kalahari.net customers and that the site's various payment options are available for the purchase of the titles.
