Kids go shopping and join the space race
The partnership kicked off on February 1, with the partnership with these stores being the first phase of a national rollout campaign. The trolleys resemble racing cars and space ships and have seating space for two young children. "Grocery shopping will be an outing of fun and adventure for the children. This will enable parents to concentrate on their shopping list without having to worry about their kids," says Storm Ackerman, General Manager of Icon Media.
Each of the 28 stores will have six trolleys. "… This is the perfect way to communicate our commitment to supporting the family dynamic within its stores," Ackerman adds.
Icon Media carts can also be found in selected Checkers Hypers, Makro and Builders Warehouse stores.
