RocoMamas launched its #ElectionBurger campaign yesterday, whereby its customers can vote for the next Leader in Taste of the Free World.

Already South Africa’s most Instagrammed burger, RocoMamas is offering three burger candidates for voters to choose from:

  • The Donald, full of bull and super cheesy - a double cheese beef burger, with nothing Mexican in sight. So delicious; build a wall to keep your neighbours from taking a bite. Currently on 55.
  • The left-leaning, liberally-garnished The HillBill burger brings a bit of ‘cock and bull’ to the table with its chicken and beef combo. Currently on 29.
  • If you’re not sure whether to lean left or right, there’s always The Joker, a non-conformist upstart with bold flavour and a unique disregard for the rules. Currently on 69.

The #ElectionBurger campaign was built on the back of RocoMamas’ quirky and original approach to creating personalised and memorable Smashburger, ribs and wings' experiences which have seen it grow from just three restaurants in Johannesburg 18 months ago, to over 40 locations country-wide. RocoMamas is soon to extend the democracy of free flavour choice to burger-lovers in Kenya and the Middle East as part of its planned global expansion.

South Africans can make their mark in the biggest election of the year by snapping their chosen Election Burger and posting it to Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #ElectionBurger, and tagging it with #TheDonald, #TheHillBill or #TheJoker.
