All4Women page smashes Facebook records
This extraordinary number represents 962% of the 45,135 All4Women Facebook followers.
Typically the All4Women Facebook page has a very high level of "taking about us" engagement - normally between 25% and 50%.
"But I never thought I would see it shooting the light out like this," said All4Women Facebook Editor, Debbie Harrower.
She attributes the success to hard work, "the enthusiasm of our followers, a bit of imagination and a large dollop of good luck."
The industry Facebook engagement norm is about 10%.
She has challenged any South Africa Facebook page with a higher level of engagement to "speak up."
Better, quicker, smarter
The All4Women team recently launched their new website http://all4women.co.za - one that Editor Sasha Wyatt-Minter describes as "quicker, better, smarter."
She says the new look and feel has been well received by both users and advertisers.
A particular feature of the new site is that it is much more mobile and tablet friendly. Using a responsive design system, the shape, size and layout of a page automatically adapts to the device that it is accessing it.
The original All4Women site was launched five years ago with one part-time staffer, the site has averaged 50% growth a year and is now the most popular (amongst women) women-targeted website in South Africa with monthly female pageviews of 2.5 million, more than double that of its nearest rival.
Unusually, it averages between 85% and 89% women readers, whereas most women-targeted sites tend towards a much more even split between women and men users.
It offers masses of content and competitions - all free - with an average of more than 50 new articles added every day.
The team now consists of 20. Many of them "work from home" women from all over South Africa.
