The direct marketing sector is as varied as our landscape and the people in our corner of Africa. To ensure effective communication remains relevant, to express the brand promise, to start a conversation either as a trendsetter or as a leader, there must be diversity. The theme this year is 'Diversity in Direct', a call to celebrate the unique South African perspective and our distinct way of doing things.
The Assegai Awards recognise the best of South African direct and integrated marketing campaigns and the people behind them. There are six categories:
Section B - Multi Channel / Country Awards
Section C - Relationship Marketing Awards
Section D - Craft Awards
Section E - Special Direct Awards
"Marketing, particularly direct marketing remains one of the most influential channels of our times, changing both how people communicate and how they choose to interact with individuals, groups of individuals, companies and brands," says Warren Moss, Chairman of the DMASA. "The Assegai Awards will be looking at how organisations have successfully been able to bring brands that much closer to consumers."
