Stellar achievements for De Krans ports

Of the eight ports that were awarded four or more stars during the annual Wine Magazine Port Tasting, three were from De Krans Wine Cellar. The Cape Vintage Reserve Port 2007 and Cape Vintage Port 2008 were each awarded 4 ½ stars, while the Cape Vintage Reserve Port 2008 garnered 4 stars.
Stellar achievements for De Krans ports

Continuing with its season of success, the De Krans Cape Vintage Reserve Port 2008, not only received a Platter 5-star rating in the 2011 Platter Wine Guide, but was recently awarded an accolade at the Top 100 SA Wines competition. This port, together with its sibling, the Cape Vintage Reserve Port 2007 are a vibrant plum colour, with dense aromas of prune, spice and tobacco, and have the potential to mature for a further 20 to 25 years. Enjoyed on their own or with stronger cheeses, these ports retail for approximately R200 per bottle.

The De Krans Cape Vintage Port 2008, which should improve for a further 10 years or more, displays rich coffee/chocolate flavours with a complex structure, and can be paired with quality mature cheeses. It retails for approximately R85 per bottle and is available at most retail outlets nationwide.
