Wolwedans in die Skemer comes to screens in October

in die skemer Wolwedans in die Skemer, a series written for Springbok radio in 1982/83 by Leon van Nierop, comes to the screen on 5 October 2012. Produced by Dark Matter Studios and Danie Bester of The Film Factory, it is directed by first-time director Jozua Malherbe.

Described as a Boere noir, the film is being shot on location at the Casa Del Sol Hotel in Mpumalanga and Dark Matters Studio expect a good audience response, based on the interest shown in the film so far. CA van Aswegen designed the teaser poster.

Synopsis

A young woman, Sonja Daneel, portrayed by Rolanda Marais, crashes her car near the Hotel Njala in Hazyview and loses her memory. Upon her arrival at the hotel, she gets involved with an obsessed family whose lives are controlled by this eerie hotel. She also quickly discovers that family secrets and an obsession with the past haunt and control their every move.
