1time's commitment to CSI continues through Disney on Ice

1time Airline's dedication towards corporate social investment (CSI) was recently demonstrated when they took children from an orphanage to watch the Disney on Ice presents Worlds of Fantasy production at the Coca-Cola Dome in Johannesburg. Three caregivers and 15 girls from the local John Wesley Child Care Centre were treated to watch this spectacular show.

The girls and their caregivers were transported into a magical world of fantasy as skilful professional skaters captivated the audience's attention with a variety of high speed stunts. The girls watched in awe as Disney character favourites such as the Little Mermaid, Buzz Light Year and Woody from Toy Story, Tinker Bell, and Lightening McQueen from Disney/Pixar's CARS floated effortlessly across the arena.

Before receiving a truly delightful afternoon that will never be forgotten, the girls were treated to a meal sponsored by Spur to satisfy their appetites. Disney kindly sponsored candy floss to the girls during the show and, to end off the fun filled and memorable day, 1time handed over goodies bags to thank the girls for joining them.

Bring about positive change

1time CEO, Blacky Komani says that the outing formed an important part of the airline's commitment to CSI initiatives.

"1time's activities are constantly motivated by the reasoning that there is not only a need to run an airline defined by world class customer service, but to affect a positive change in wider society. Providing underprivileged children with an opportunity to experience events that would normally be out of their reach, is a good starting point in achieving these aims."

In celebration of the upcoming Mandela Day on 18 July 2012, 1time has also embarked on a national internal drive to collect as many blankets, soup or non-perishable goods as possible which will be given away to a local charity.
