Videovision Entertainment goes to the Oscars at the Durban July

Anant Singh and Videovision Entertainment will host its 16th Annual Durban July event at the Sea Cottage Room at Greyville Race Course on Saturday, July 3 this year. This year, the Videovision Entertainment event is themed on the Oscars as a result of South Africa's success at the Academy Awards.

Videovision Entertainment is among South Africa's leading film and television production companies. The company recently premiered at the Durban International Film Festival, South Africa's first ever isiZulu feature film, Yesterday which stars Leleti Khumalo, Kenneth Kambule and Camilla Walker and which is written and directed Darrell James Roodt (Cry, The Beloved Country, Sarafina!). Leleti Khumalo, Camilla Walker and Darrell Roodt will be in attendance as guests of Videovision Entertainment at the Durban July.

Also recently completed is Red Dust, starring Oscar Winner, Hilary Swank and British Film Academy Award winner, Chiwetel Ejiofor (Dirty Pretty Things, Love Actually) and which is based on Gillian Slovo's novel of the same title. The company is currently in production with Great South Africans which will be launched on 26 September 2004 on SABC3.
