Exhibition features work of photography students
Tshwane University of Technology's Department of Visual Communication (Photography) will host its annual exhibition at the Centurion Art Gallery in Pretoria. The exhibition, running from Wednesday, 1 February to Wednesday, 29 February 2012, will feature the work of first, second and third year students of 2011.
A fascinating variety of documentary, architectural and commercial works as well as other related images that reflect the dynamic creativity and the versatile competencies of students in various aspects of photography will be on display. The exhibition also gives students an opportunity to show their work for evaluation outside the academic environment.
The department views the exhibition as part of its on-going teaching, thus all organising for the exhibition is done by the students themselves. Core groups of students handle different aspects of the exhibition, coordinated by lecturer Tamuka Mtengwa. A photographic workshop for Grade 12 learners will also be conducted for the duration of the exhibition.
