Bastille Day Celebrations at Le Franschhoek Hotel and Spa

La Franschhoek Hotel and Spa will be offering guests accommodation, including a three-course dinner and full English breakfast with a discount of R250 per person for an exclusive Camelot Spa voucher, to guests staying between 12 and 18 July, 2010.

During the course of this historic festival, Le Franschhoek's "Dish" restaurant will also present a unique Bastille Festival Menu, featuring the best of local and French-inspired delicacies.

Main menu

The menu features starters such as a French Onion Caramel Soup with Camembert Croutons, a Gorgonzola Duck Liver and Cognac Parfait, and a Quail Breast Salad with Vanilla and Port Poached Pear, while main courses include Grilled Fillet of Beef, Butternut and Wild Mushroom Lasagna, Thrice-Cooked Orange Duck Breast with a Sweetcorn and orange fritter and Pan Fried Line Fish, with pommes Anna and Tarragon Veloute.

Dessert choices

To finish off this French culinary affair, dessert choices range from Chocolate Souffle Pancakes with Pistachio Ice Cream and Iced Nougat Parfait with Strawberries and Peach Coulis to a selection of French cheese, Port Jelly with Walnut and Raisin Bread and Vanilla Panna Cotta with Concasse and Coulis of Exotic Fruit.
