'Miele goes Moroccan' for sales reward event

Miele’s elegant Tygervalley (Cape Town) showroom recently had a complete facelift for one night only, for the company’s annual Sales Rewards. The showroom, with its contemporary, minimalist décor, was transformed into a richly textured Moroccan lounge, in the hands of designer entertaining company Loudfire.

In authentic Moroccan style, the approximately 70 guests, representing Miele and its top salespeople from regional stores, were welcomed with Chocolate Chilli Martinis on arrival.

Says Kirsten Weir, Loudfire’s project manager for the event: “The Moroccan theme was a fresh and exciting one, which worked really well against the unfussy backdrop of Miele’s fabulous showroom. The key décor elements in the mix, were low coffee tables with hubbly-bubblys, surrounded by big, comfortable cushions for guests to sit on.

“To achieve the warm, richly textured, layered look and feel that is characteristic of Moroccan décor, we used lots of golds, oranges, reds and maroons, in velvet and organza for the tables and cushions, and even clad the showroom pillars in gold-embroidered orange satin. The overall effect was entirely unique and guests were really quite captivated by it.”

The evening’s cuisine comprised delicious Moroccan foods like slow-cooked lamb served over couscous in asian spoons, chicken kebabs in chermoula sauce, Moroccan prawns smothered in lemon and spices, and a great many more mouthwatering delicacies.

The role played by Loudfire in this memorable occasion was the start-to-finish provision of designer entertaining for the Miele brand.
