Business, franchise expo gets ready for entrepreneurs

The annual Business Opportunities and Franchise Expo is getting ready to meet South African entrepreneurs, as it celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2013. The success of the expo, which takes place from 12-15 September at the Coca-Cola Dome, is founded on its ability to partner entrepreneurs with business options that match their passion and expertise.

Nearly half of the world's entrepreneurs are between the ages of 25 and 44. This is one of the key findings of the GEM 2012 report from Global Entrepreneurship Monitor. The report also found that 25 to 34 year olds demonstrate the highest rates of entrepreneurial activity, in all geographic regions surveyed, including South Africa.

This information is mission-critical for exhibitors who are directly targeting entrepreneurs.

According to Lynn Chamier, GM of the expo, "Knowing the predominant age bracket of your target audience empowers you to customise your exhibit, the information you disseminate and the tone of your one-on-one engagements with expo visitors to hit your mark accurately, effectively and successfully."

Further research from the MarketingSherpa 2012 Marketing Benchmark Report, demonstrates that trade shows hold the top spot as the most effective business to business marketing platform - more effective than email marketing, websites, paid search and other marketing initiatives.

Included among the exhibitors are franchisors, established business opportunities, higher learning institutions, business support services and established BEE businesses who come to showcase their products and services to corporate procurement officers with BEE targets to meet.

The expo is owned and managed by Thebe Exhibitions and Projects and presented in partnership with platinum sponsor Eskom. For more information, go to www.bofe.co.za.
