Just Gooi it!

Gooi.co.za is the newly launched 'one product, one price, and one day' website. Every day at 12am, a new product will appear on the website, and consumers have either 24 hours to purchase that product that will never be repeated at that price ever again, or until the product is sold out.
Just Gooi it!

This could happen in a measly 2 hours, or it might not sell out at all. Consumers will never know just exactly how many products are available, so the whole concept of the website is based on impulse buying.

Pre-launched at the SignAfrica Show at the Sandton Convention Centre on 5 September 2007, visitors got a sneak peak of what Gooi.co.za is all about; with the majority of them signing up to the website.

Gooi.co.za is all about selling only one product every day at an extremely cheap price, much lower than retail. Consumers can come to the site or get a daily email notification about the product of the day. The site aims to showcase a variety of products and not just products targeted to a particular target market.

The concentration is on selling products that are rarely seen in major stores, such as gadgets or new inventions. High demand products will, however, go on sale on condition that the retailer selling the products sells them at a ridiculously low price.

“This is the perfect platform for retailers who have a large amount of units of a particular product, whereby they can afford to drop the price under retail, and sell out within one short day. It's a one-stop, get-rid-of-your-stock shop,” says Daniel Martins, marketing manager for gooi.co.za.

The site is also a community where people can interact with each other or talk about the product and its features and whether or not it is a viable purchase.

Register online now and stand a chance to win an Xbox 360 and an LG 20” LCD TV, sponsored by eDreams; and the winner will be announced on 31 September 2007.
