IOL: Jordan seeks honest debate on media bill... Well, of course it has a purpose - but many critics believe it is not to protect the country's legitimate secrets but rather to cover up on-going greed, wasteful spending, corruption, poor service delivery and incompetence. As Jordan says, there's no need to get hysterical about the bill, but there is a need for frank and open disclosure of the actual reasons for the proposed bill and the way it has been framed. Meanwhile, Ncube says 'The bill is not going to improve service delivery' and he doesn't know why the ANC is pushing for it.
