The Loerie Awards take off with Kulula
Head of the Section 21 company that owns The Loerie Awards, Andrew Human, says kulula.com will offer industry employees special return airfares to Durban from Jo'burg and Cape Town: R488 return between Jo'burg and Durban and R688 return between Cape Town and Durban.
Human says: "Accessibility was a key criteria for selecting Margate. We felt moving the Loerie Awards outside Gauteng would better include the other provinces in the event. This year, The Loerie Awards will be more accessible than ever before for everyone attending from Cape Town and KwaZulu-Natal.
"For Loerie fans in Gauteng, kulula.com's sponsorship, plus the options of bus charter and driving by car, will make Margate as accessible as Sun City has been in the past. Additionally, Margate has its own airport for small aircraft; it has ample accommodation at very affordable prices; it also has a fantastic climate and excellent beaches, as well plenty of tourist attractions in the near vicinity."
Human says that with support like this - as well as stalwart sponsors M-Net, committed to the awards for the 6th year in a row - The Loerie Awards 2005 should exceed everyone's expectations: "kulula.com has taken my breath away with its generosity and positive take on the industry."
Human added that the exposure qualification date for this year's awards has been extended to July 31, 2005 - the same day as entries close.
