I am a Travel & Tourism Graduate, we had assignments as part of our curriculum in which I had to host a fundraiser for the Wetnose Animal Shelter. This event was my first stepping stone into the real marketing world and enabled me to implement theoretical knowledge into practical real life scenario and helped me in understanding the marketing objectives of the event in terms of fundraising, marketing strategies, fundraising strategies, sponsorship strategies, people management, entertainment management, events co-ordination & execution, communication management and building PR.
After my 3-year graduation, I started as a customer service representative at the Hard Rock Cafe Johannesburg & gradually was in trusted upon the role of sales & marketing representative opening a whole new world of KSA on a global platform, making me the social media face of Hard Rock Café South Africa (Johannesburg & Pretoria). Meeting clients & taking care of event bookings and management, constant update, reverts & trouble-shooting to all the social media flat forms of Hard Rock Cafe South Africa for the past 2 years. Currently I have been appraised and certified as an international trainer for Hard Rock International & been a part of the opening team for Hard Rock Cafe. Taking this rich experience, I would like to move forward to learn more from other organisations and to share my knowledge and experience with others.
