OUTsurance OUTride
On the 29th July, the OUTsurance OUTride took place at the Tswhane Mayoral Buildings in Pretoria, and consisted of 10.5km laps to make up either the 35km race or 77km event. The event attracted over 3000 cyclists and is now the biggest winter ride in the country.
Peter Cronjé, OUTsurance head of marketing, made it clear that they would not merely be another cycling sponsor. "We want to work with the organisers to build this race into one of the highlights on the South African cycling calendar.”
Joost van der Westhuizen and Amor Vittone participated in the race, with the proceeds going to charity.
