Discovery Channel gets hot and more enigmatic

DStv viewers tuning into Discovery Channel will have much to savour in the next 12 months, with a series of exciting and enigmatic programmes set to hit the small screen. A preview of what is coming ahead was screened last night, Wednesday 25 June 2008, at Melrose Arch in Johannesburg. It is an endless combination of enigma, suspense, methodical madness and heat. And it is ‘magnifique'.
Apart from Ultimate Survival 2, which started showing from 9 June, Dirty Jobs with Peter Schmeichel - a never-ending fight against dirt and a battle for increased hygiene and cleanliness - starts on 27 June, while Really Big Things (season 2) and Overhaulin' 3 hits SA shores on 1 July and 14 July, respectively.
On 15 September, a group of fishing adventurers takes on the vast and turbulent seas, braving 100km/h winds and waves the size of four-storey buildings to catch priceless crabs in Deadliest Catch 4. It is a life-or-death adventure and is definitely not for the faint-hearted.
Other programmes include Smash Lab (10 September), Time Warp (19 November), Project Earth (28 October), Chris Ryan's Elite Police (December 2008), World's Toughest Tribes (2009), and many more.
