SA Virtual School offers College Preparatory High School Diploma
SAVS offers accredited American curriculum Grade 6 to Grade 12 online courses under license from Florida Virtual School (FLVS), an American Online High School with over 2,000,000 successful enrolments.
Monitoring, grading and tuition services for students are provided locally by qualified SAVS teachers. Additional student monitoring, guidance, counselling and official transcript services are provided, under an Educational Agreement, by The Cottage School, an accredited American High School.
Students, on completion of all graduation requirements, currently 23 Carnegie Units of Credit, are issued a College Preparatory High School Diploma by The Cottage School.
The curriculum that culminates in a college prep high school diploma is academically thorough. Advanced math and science classes that build high-level critical thinking skills are the hallmark of a college prep diploma. Extensive social studies and English classes that lead to comprehensive reading and writing skills complete the basics of the curriculum. College prep students are also required to be proficient in a foreign language and must earn credits that focus on the fine arts in order to produce an academically advanced and well-rounded 21st century graduate.
SAVS allows students to enrol at any time of the year through their open enrolment policy and affords them the convenience of studying from anywhere at any time and at their own pace.
Other than the Diploma Program, SAVS offers Full Time and Part Time study program options across their extensive range of over 120 online core, elective, honours and Advanced Placement (AP®) schooling courses. Through their Professional Development online and webinar courses, SAVS keeps teachers and educators current with educational theory and practice. Completing their offering are 40 plus, fully supported, career orientated high school courses, including subjects like AgriScience, Photography, Entrepreneurship, Fashion, Culinary Arts and Veterinary Science.
