Eduvos students make it to Top 100 of DHL GradStar Awards
Kamogelo Mbele, Reitumetse Siko, Sinovuyo Lisa Zosela, Veronica Mwale and Lisa Veldhuis are representing Eduvos as five of 2023’s Top 100.
The Top 100 students were selected from thousands of entrants across the country. The Awards consist of three phases. The Top 100 students have made it to the final phase after taking place in a four-step assessment process.
The Awards, now in their eighth year, measure students against criteria that recruiters look for in the ideal employee. The Awards partner with the Future Fit Academy, whose team of recruiters and industrial psychologists have developed the criteria for the Awards.
One of Eduvos’s Top 100 GradStars, Kamogelo Mbele, a BSc Information Technology student at the Vanderbijlpark campus, says he is honoured to be part of this year’s cohort and represent the institution: “Studying at Eduvos has prepared me for this as the knowledge I've acquired at this institution has strengthened my drive to success which has helped me to have a strong mindset to be a leader or an efficient worker.”
“For the awards, I'm honestly looking forward to all the lessons I'm about to learn and the employers we are about to meet, I will hopefully gain a tremendous amount of information and will utilise this to my advantage.”
Eduvos, one of South Africa’s leading private higher education institutions, is excited about the opportunities this programme will offer its participating students. Eduvos knows that it is only the first step in its students’ career path and therefore prioritises their employability. The curriculums of Eduvos’s over 27 qualifications are constantly updated to keep abreast with the changes in the world of work in order for its students to graduate with the relevant skills and knowledge.
"We could not be prouder of our students who have made it to the Top 100,” says Eduvos head of student experience, Cheryl Smith. “This achievement is a testament to our unwavering commitment to providing top-tier education and fostering an environment where students can excel. Eduvos is dedicated to empowering our students with the skills and opportunities they need to maximise their employment prospects.”
Eduvos is excited that students will have the chance to connect with recruiters in fields they are interested in working in. This is another opportunity shared by Eduvos’s dedicated Employability Centre.
Eduvos wishes its participating students all the best in the next round.
