Entertainment line-up at the V&A Waterfront
The V&A Waterfront is offering sport, music, arts and culture fans a menu of performances and shows, with its entertainment programme listing something for all ages and interests.
Highlights include world-class acts from the Parlotones and Ladysmith Black Mambazo who'll dazzle the audience at AquaFestival (15 December - 6 January), the official World Cup Soccer Ball display (1 December - 31 January), the 14th annual Jazzathon (7 - 10 January) and storytelling with Mother Goose (12 - 24 December).
Free performances by some of SA's top musicians - Prime Circle, Flat Stanley and the Rudimentals among others - can also be enjoyed daily at 17:00 concerts in the Amphitheatre.
“The programme appeals to moms and tots, music lovers and sport fanatics,” says Annemie Liebenberg, V&A Waterfront tourism and communications manager, “So, whatever you're looking for this summer, you'll find it at the Mother City's entertainment hub, the V&A Waterfront.”

Sports celebrations
Adidas World Cup Soccer Ball display

Description: A larger than life showcase of all the official World Cup Soccer Balls from the past nine years are on display at the entrance of the V&A Waterfront.
Stand UP Paddle Challenge (SUP)
Date: 19 December

Location: Amphitheatre Canal Site, North Wharf and Amphitheatre
Description: SA's leading paddle board manufacturers, Coreban, will celebrate the end of their summer series at the V&A Waterfront by hosting SUP races throughout the V&A Waterfront canals. An award ceremony at the Amphitheatre and short film showing of “Wipe Out” will wrap-up activity of the day.
Sundowner 10km Race
Date: 23 December

Location: Outside Mitchell's Scottish Ale House
Description: Come and enjoy a day of family fun as you cheer on the 1,200 10km race participants. Enjoy a cold beer at Mitchells Brewery, the races sponsors, and watch the runners cruise over the finish line or enter yourself and be part of the racing experience.

FNB Connect

Description: Come and watch up-and-coming comedian, Thomas Gumede, entertain passersby from inside the “Connect Box.” A nationwide initiative sponsored by FNB, Gumede will spend ten weeks inside a glass box completing a series of tasks, proving that you could live your life cheaper and faster through the internet. HP Touch the Future Campaign

AquaCircus - Zip Zap Circus

AquaFestival

Reconciliation Day with The Gugulethu Tenors

Description: The Gugulethu Tenors consist of Mpendulo Yawa, Siyabulela Gqola, Xolani November and Loyiso Dlova. These ambitious performers are role models for South Africa's youth and, through their singing, successfully showcase the richness and diversity of South Africa's cultural heritage. The quartet's demo CD ‘O Afrika!' will be on sale at the performance and the three tenors will be available for a signing session afterwards.
