SA Cocktail Week 2017 introduces first ever awards show

SA Cocktail Week (SACW) takes place at ten handpicked cocktail venues in Cape Town from the 4 - 11 November 2017. The week will start with a grand opening on the 4 November and end with it's first ever awards show on the 11 November.

The grand opening will take place at the Cape Quarter from 4.30pm to 10pm on Saturday, 4 November 2017 and will feature over 20 pop-up bars, giving festival goers a taste of what’s to come for the week.

Cocktail venues

Ten handpicked cocktail venues will be partnered with five different brand companies (ABV Brands, Pernod Ricard, Diageo, Bacardi and RGBC) to create signature cocktails.

The 10 partner venues are; Asoka, Orphanage Cocktail Emporium, Arcade, Café Caprice, Burger & Lobster, The Twankey Bar, Primal Eatery, Cause & Effect, Harringtons and HQ.

Ticket holders are encouraged to visit as many of the ten partner venues as possible, using their SACW wrist band to attend SA Cocktail Week feature events and redeem their 50% off signature cocktails, designed specifically for the week, and available only to people with a valid wrist band, which will be handed out in exchange for tickets at the grand opening.

Awards ceremony

An exclusive awards ceremony will be held on Saturday,11 November at HQ where the winners in the categories of, Most Loved Cocktail Bar, Top Bartender, Most Enthusiastic Brand Ambassador, The People’s Favorite Brand and Best Signature Cocktail, will be unveiled to an intimate group of media, industry professionals and partners. SA Cocktail Week has partnered with Machangulo Beach Lodge to send one lucky duo to an all-inclusive four-night getaway at the luxury lodge in Mozambique – all ticket holders will automatically be entered into the draw, which will take place at the grand opening.

Tickets are available in phases via Webtickets and starting at R250. Guests are encouraged to get their tickets early to avoid disappointment and also save big. A percentage of all proceeds will aid the Hidden Falls Foundation which uses outdoor and group activity to empower youth from disadvantaged backgrounds.
