Jal is known as one of the most active ambassadors for peace ever to come out of Africa. Young, passionate and dedicated to his cause, he is a public speaker, having addressed the UN, US Congress and the highest tiers of governments on the issue of peace. He has also been involved with several peace-based initiatives including Clinton Global Initiative, Child Soldiers Initiative, and Ericsson's Refugees Reunited campaign.

Unbelievable struggles in war-torn Sudan

As a young man in his 20s he endured and survived unbelievable struggles in war-torn Sudan and has committed his life to spreading the gospel of peace around the world, be it through music, the media or his public addresses.

With an exceptional life story, Jal brings his profound storytelling into his music. Despite his achievements as a young activist, he has also proven that he is an untouchable talent in the music arena and has just released his latest album "We Want Peace", part of a wider campaign of the same name, calling for peace in Sudan prior to the 2011 referendum.

Jal performs his unique style of hip hop in various languages, supported by Tumi & The Volume.
