    Bidorbuy acquires SA jobs Portal

bidorbuy.com Inc, a Delaware Company and the parent of bidorbuy (Pty) Ltd, South African online auction and shopping website, has acquired online jobs website, www.jobs.co.za as the latest addition to their group of South African online businesses.

Jobs.co.za. is one of the oldest online jobs websites in South Africa. As one of the top ranking job websites on search engines it receives thousands of new job seeker registrations every month. Newly appointed CEO of Jobs.co.za, Gillian Meier, says: “Under the new ownership, the recent silence of Jobs.co.za is going to be stirred by significant expansion and enhancements to the website. We are committed to aligning this jobs portal to meeting the growing demands of the South African jobs market.”

As broadband penetration increases so too will the market share and potential for online jobs sites, however, Jobs.co.za is determined to provide a solution that is flexible and affordable to those South African recruiters that are still heavily reliant on dial-up or slow bandwidth connections, and will further provide pioneering technology that will be highly competitive in the local and international recruitment market. Meier says: “We believe that the SME recruitment market can become more competitive and profitable if these recruiters have access to alternative, affordable services that can aid them in overcoming the challenges that they face in the form of limited, affordable online recruitment services, costly print advertising and slow internet connectivity.”

The company is dedicated to providing a user-friendly solution where recruiters can search for more suitable candidates and capture their online jobs at a faster pace, while job seekers will get to experience uncomplicated but sophisticated curriculum vitae and job enhancement tools.

bidorbuy.com Inc. purchased the company for an undisclosed sum of money with the aim of boosting the online jobs market share and attracting a wider group of advertisers and job seekers in an innovative and competitive manner. bidorbuy's MD, Andy Higgins says: “We are extremely excited about this opportunity and look forward to adding value to the South African online recruitment industry.”
