This latest model, a new addition to Sahara's Image Book Series, is a classy entry level product that comes with lots of features in a small package. It is one of the smallest notebooks with 60 GB hard drive. The 8" LCD TFT display screen is bright and sharp, while the whole machine weighs in at just 1.1 kg.
Sahara's Image book NB552221 series is Linux-based notebook, focused for entry level users, students and frequent travellers. It has an extended battery life of 4.5 hrs, which is one of the most important features for 'go anywhere' computing. It is a Wi-Fi enabled and has a PCMCIA slot, card reader and comes with one year carry-in warranty.
The notebook's features allow users to access data files and content with ease, communicate via e-mail and also connect various peripheral devices such as personal storage drives.
“This is part of our strategy to introduce innovative mobile computing that is affordable to all,” says Gary Naidoo, deputy MD at Sahara. “Our intention is to target users who want anytime, anywhere computing. With the 60GB hard drive and a battery life of more than 4 hours, our product offers greater value in this new category of entry level notebooks,” adds Naidoo.
The notebook is available through Sahara's established reseller network and selected retail outlets.
