For those trendsetters wanting a unique and fresh take on fashion, the Puma Braamfontein store is now home to the Creative Factory suitcase. This allows customers to create their very own unique Basket or First Round style sneaker, choosing from an assortment of materials and fabrics to make a one-of-a kind pair of Creative Factory kicks.

The two base footwear styles to be offered include:

  • The Basket - Hailing from the basketball courts of yesteryear, this shoe is a leather version of the classic Clyde. It is reissued here, from 1971, in all its original glory - minus the sweatbands and handlebar moustaches.
  • The First Round - Inspired by the big hoop dreams of basketball draft picks, the original silhouette was issued back in 1987. This shoe maintains its signature high profile, padded collar and smooth moves.

The true after-hours athletes might also be lucky enough to spot the mobile unit at the Puma Social Club in Jozi where it will occasionally make an appearance on Friday nights.

Manufacturing and shipping will take approximately 5-10 weeks from the date of order. The Basket retails for R999 and the First Round for R1,199.
